In English
A peeled coconut is a young green coconut (Cocos nucifera) with its thick husk trimmed off so it is easy to open. Inside you get fresh coconut water and a thin layer of soft flesh.
The water is fresh and lightly sweet; the young flesh is soft, almost jelly-like, unlike the hard meat of a dry coconut.
On a steady surface, make a few cuts at the top with a heavy knife until you open a hole, then drink the water with a straw or pour it out. Split the coconut and scoop out the soft flesh with a spoon.
